We have some movement from last week's poll.  We welcome Stockbridge into the poll this week, as they have move to 14-5 overall and can clinch a share of the GLAC title if they can win at Olivet this week.  Holt drops out after two losses last week.

But the big game saw defending Division 2 champ Portland avenge their only loss of the season with a 53-41 victory at home over previously unbeaten Lansing Catholic on Friday.  Ashley Bower led the lady Raiders with 23 points.

We also want to congratulate Leslie and Portland St. Patrick for clinching at least a share of the GLAC and CMAC titles last week, respectively.

And with the release of the district brackets this past Sunday, we could have some prominent games next week in the postseason.

In Division 1, CAAC Blue champ East Lansing may to get through both Haslett and DeWitt just to get to the regionals.  In Division 2, we could have a third matchup between Portland and Lansing Catholic for the district crown at Ionia.  And in Division 4, Portland St. Patrick may have to beat Fowler a third time at Lansing Christian just to get to the regionals.

Ok, on with this week's poll:

Mid-Michigan High School Girls Basketball Top 10—2/21/2022

Here's a look at the top 10 teams in the Lansing area in girls basketball

It is the final week of the regular season for girls basketball in the state of Michigan.  Because of COVID-19 pauses and weather postponements, there are lots of makeup games this week to finish the regular season.

In the GLAC, Stockbridge can clinch a share of the GLAC title if they win at Olivet on Thursday.  And Portland St. Patrick needs only one victory to clinch the outright title in the CMAC.  And we could have a tie for the title in the CAAC Red and White.

We'll see what happens, good luck to all the teams involved!
