Congratulations are in order for Fowler and Leslie.  They clinched league titles last week.  Fowler won the outright CMAC title with a convincing 69-14 win over Laingsburg last Friday night.  Running back Ford Phillips rushed for over 300 yards on the night.

And even though Leslie suffered their first loss of the season (a 28-7 loss to Grass Lake), the Blackhawks won the Cascades Conference Eastern Division.  They'll face Hanover-Horton (the Cascades Western Division champion) this Saturday on the road in that conference's championship game.

DeWitt has a share of the CAAC Blue title after blowing out Okemos 63-7 last Friday.  They can clinch the outright championship if they beat Everett at home this Friday night (more on that later).

And also congratulations to Portland head coach John Novara, he won his 200th career game with their 33-0 victory over Lansing Sexton last Friday night.

The big game this Friday night is the Everett at DeWitt game.  If the Panthers win, they clinch the outright CAAC Blue title.  If Everett wins, they clinch a share of the title.  And if East Lansing beats Holt on Friday and Everett wins, it'll be a three-way tie for the championship.  We'll have the Everett-DeWitt game on The Game 730 AM WVFN with the pregame starting at 6:00pm, with kickoff at 7:00pm from Memorial Stadium in DeWitt.

Other notable games this week include:  Pewamo-Westphalia at Lansing Catholic, Williamston at Goodrich, Portland hosts Whitehall, Fowler at McBain, Ovid-Elsie at Standish-Sterling, and the battle for the Oak Chest between Eastern and Sexton.
