DeWitt won the regular season game of the year in the Mid-Michigan area by beating East Lansing on the road in a thriller, 42-35.

That win keeps them at the top of the CAAC Blue standings with a 2-0 league record, tied with Everett.

St. Johns and Mason both won to set up this week's matchup for a share of the CAAC Red title.  And Portland took command of the CAAC White with a fairly comfortable win over Lansing Catholic on the road.

In the CMAC, P-W and Fowler won easily to set up the big matchup this Friday night at Fowler HS for the lead in the CMAC (and the Milk Jug).

And Ovid-Elsie and Leslie both won to stay unbeaten as well.  We have seven unbeaten 11-man teams in the area left after five weeks (DeWitt, St. Johns, Portland, P-W, Fowler, Ovid-Elsie, and Leslie).  Portland St. Patrick is undefeated in 8-Player football after winning again easily last week.

There are three big games that stand above all the others this week:  Mason at St. Johns, Grand Ledge at Everett, and P-W at Fowler (which is likely for the outright CMCA title).  Other good games include:  Holt at DeWitt, Haslett at Williamston, Sexton at Ionia, Bath at Laingsburg (for the County Line Trophy), and Leslie hosts Napoleon.

There are a few changes to the poll this week, and here it is:
