The nine-week regular season is now complete.  And eighteen Mid-Michigan teams have qualified for the postseason.  And there's at least one representative in each of the eight divisions of 11-Player football, and both divisions of 8-Player Football.

Congratulations are in order for the Comets of Grand Ledge.  They clinched a share of the CAAC Blue championship with a 45-30 road victory over East Lansing last Friday night.  And to Fulton, who upset Morrice on the road to qualify for the 8-Player playoffs for the first time in their second year of playing at that level.

And we want to recognize other teams like Waverly, Sexton, Ionia, Lakewood, Stockbridge, and Laingsburg (who won a share of the CMAC title).  Who showed improvement this season, but just missed out on the postseason.

We have some major changes to this week's poll, given the results of last Friday night's games. The top three remain the same with Mason, Portland, and Charlotte.  1-2-3 in that order.  East Lansing and Laingsburg were knocked out after losing in Week 9.  While Grand Ledge and Holt found their way in with big victories.

Ok, on with this week's poll:

Mid-Michigan H.S. Football Top 10 (After Week 9)

We will have a high school football tournament game on our airwaves this Friday night.  Pregame coverage will start at 6:00pm, with game coverage beginning just before 7:00pm.

And once again, we are your home for the Michigan High School football finals from Ford Field this Thanksgiving weekend.  Stay tuned to The Game 730 AM WVFN for further information on the MHSAA football playoffs.
