We are now in the stretch drive of the girls basketball season.  Just under three weeks remain until the state tournament begins (March 3rd).

Pewamo-Westphalia took control of the CMAC with their 59-53 victory at Fowler last Wednesday night.  Coach Steve Eklund's lady Pirates are still the lone unbeaten team in the Lansing area at 16-0.  That's why there are number 1 in the poll.  And they will stay that way until/if they lose.

Having said that, I believe DeWitt is the best team in the area.  As they have avenged their lone loss (vs. Holt) of the season just a couple of weeks ago.  They will remain 2nd until/if they lose.

Some big games this week.  On Tuesday, red-hot East Lansing is at DeWitt.  CAAC Red leader Haslett hosts Detroit Country Day in a big non-conference game.

On Friday, Portland can grab the CAAC White title if they win at Eaton Rapids.  And Haslett can clinch a share of the CAAC Red championship if they win at second-place Williamston.

Brock Palmbos will recap the week that was this Saturday morning with High School Rewind.  It's on from 10-11am on The Game 730 AM WVFN.

Ok, on with this week's rankings:
