We are at or around the halfway point of the girls basketball season in the state of Michigan.  And at least in the Lansing area, we now have clear-cut teams at the top of the heap.  Haslett and DeWitt are above everyone else, with Dansville and Holt just a notch below them.

Dansville's lady Aggies are the best small-school team in the area.  And are ranked #1 in Division 3 this week.  And they also have a two-game lead in the CMAC at the halfway point.

P-W and Morrice make their way back in the poll this week, while Portland and Portland St. Patrick drop out after multiple losses last week.  After some early losses, Lansing Catholic has played better.  But the lady Cougars just missed out on the top 10 this week.

The game of the year in girls basketball is tonight (Tuesday night) at Haslett HS.  As the 10-0 Haslett Vikings host the 9-0 DeWitt Panthers.  DeWitt won a close matchup last year at DeWitt HS.  So Haslett will be looking for revenge.

There are other big games around the Mid-Michigan area this week.  Olivet is at Lakewood on Tuesday.  Lansing Catholic is at Fowler on Wednesday.  Thursday's action features Potterville at Laingsburg and Portland St. Patrick at Morrice.

And on Friday night, Lansing Catholic is at Portland, Lakewood is at Stockbridge, and Potterville is at P-W.

You can hear the DeWitt at Haslett game on The Game 730 AM WVFN with Brock Palmbos and Erik "Doc" Love Tuesday night with pregame beginning at 7:00pm.

Ok, on with this week's poll:
