The regular season is now over in the girls basketball season and that means IT'S TOURNEY TIME!!!!  The 49th Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) girls basketball tournament begins on Monday afternoon.

There are fifteen tournament games on Monday involving area teams.

A few notes about this week's rankings.  I know some of you may have a problem with a Division 4 team like Portland St. Patrick in the top spot.  But it's not really a question as to whether they could beat bigger schools like East Lansing, DeWitt, Haslett, etc.

They might not, but St. Pats is number 1 because they are the last unbeaten team in the area and they are being rewarded for it.

Also, these will be the final rankings for the girls until after the state tournament is over.

Congratulations to East Lansing, Williamston, Haslett, Lansing Catholic, Portland, Leslie, Stockbridge, Portland St. Pats, Ovid-Elsie, and Morrice for winning, or sharing, league titles this season.

Ok, on with this week's rankings:
