Lansing-Area Boys Basketball Top 10 Poll (As of January 4th)
The holidays are over. And just like the girls, the boys basketball season now begins their long trek towards March Magic, with the annual state tournament set to begin on March 6th at the district level.
As of this writing (morning of January 4th), we have five area teams that are undefeated. And all of them have made it into this week's poll. They are:
Okemos (7-0), Ionia (5-0), Olivet (7-0), Stockbridge (4-0), and Laingsburg (6-0)
And there are only five other teams that have one loss this season, they are:
Grand Ledge (5-1), Mason (6-1), St. Johns (5-1), Pewamo-Westphalia (5-1), and Fowler (3-1)
The conference races look tight so far. But we should start seeing some separation as January plays out.
Some of the top games for the remainder of this week include: Laingsburg at P-W (Thursday), Stockbridge at Leslie (Thursday), St. Johns at Mason (Friday), and Ionia at Portland (Friday).
Having said all of that, here is this week's top 10 poll for Lansing-are boys basketball:
