Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has been unanimously named as the NBA's Rookie of the Year in a vote made public on Monday morning.

Towns averaged 18.3 points and 10.5 rebounds a game in his first season out of Kentucky.  He is the fifth player to win the award unanimously.

New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis finished second in the voting.  The Timberwolves were 29-53 this season and missed the NBA Playoffs.
