The Chicago Cubs are still one of the hottest teams in Major League Baseball. The Cubs just won their first World Series championship in 108 years. One of the distinct reasons for this sudden turn around is manager Joe Madden. Madden was the manager for years in Tampa with the Rays. But, in a clause in his contract he left for greener pastures in Chicago. There he joined former Red Sox G.M. Theo Epstein. This alliance is strong.

The Cubs didn't know how to win, they do now. Chicago is a great city rich with history. Now, they finally have a strong Cubs team and organization. Players like Rizzo, Bryant, Arrieta and a cast of others. My hunch is this is a great groups of players and management just geared up for the long haul.

Joe Madden is old school with his motivational tactics. He has his young players dress in funny costumes and just keeps this team loose with funny things. The Cubs could turn into a dynasty. But, they need to win a couple more World Championships first. The Chicago Cubs are a great franchise that now know what it takes to win. They will continue to add solid pieces to the puzzle with free agents. Joe Madden was the perfect guy for that job.
