Jim Brown is a name a lot of young football fans might not know. Well, let me tell you about one of the greatest running backs in the history of college and pro football.

Jimmy Brown played at Syracuse in college. He was one of the top players that year but lost out to Paul Hornung that year on the Heisman Trophy.

Jimmy Brown played for the Cleveland Browns and was coached by the legendary Paul Brown. When the Browns drafted him number one following the 1956 college football season, Jimmy Brown signed eagerly.

Jimmy Brown played in the NFL for nine years, where he walked away from his great career, for another career in Hollywood as a movie star. He never looked back.

Jimmy Brown registered four of the best ground-gaining games in  NFL history, twice hitting a mark of 237 yards.

Jimmy Brown, in my opinion along with Barry Sanders were the two best running backs in the history of the NFL. It's very interesting when then Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Colts 27-0 in the NFL Title Game, that was the last championship any pro-team in Cleveland won. That's nuts, and now that LeBron James came home they're banking on he can get it done.

In closing Jimmy Brown will go down as one if not the greatest running back in the history of the NFL.
