Jeter, Keilitz To Be Inducted Into Michigan Baseball HOF
When the Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame holds their induction ceremonies in August at Lansing's Cooley Law School Stadium, the HOF will honor two new members.
Former New York Yankees great Derek Jeter and former Central Michigan Unviersity baseball coach Dave Keilitz will be inducted into the Michigan Hall on August 11th in ceremonies before the Lansing Lugnuts game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
Jeter and Keilitz will join previous inductees John Smoltz, Al Kaline, Jim Abbott, and famed high school coaches Pat O'Keefe and Larry Tuttle in the Michigan Hall.
Jeter was a star at Kalamazoo Central before going on to a fabled career with the New York Yankees. Keilitz was a former player at CMU before getting into coaching. He has been heavily involved in the College Baseball World Series for many years.
