Life as a bubble team can be stressful, throw in a 19 year NCAA Tournament appearance streak that could go down as well and you'd think a coach would be sweating it out. Not Tom Izzo, at least not in the way you think.

"It's not even the streak, it's really not, streaks are meant to be broken what motivates me is sending seniors out the right way, so they have a memory maker" Izzo said.

Izzo also addressed the team's turnover issue. The Spartans committed 21 turnovers in each of their last two games. The more amazing stat to come from that is they are 1-1 in those games.

"To have a 21 turnover game and beat a decent team by 11 points, there's something positive in that" Izzo said.

Izzo also looked ahead to Ohio State (15-11) who will come into town Tuesday for a critical Big Ten game.

The Big Ten as a whole is on alert after the NCAA's Selection Committee came out with their first ever in-season look at the Tournament field. In the first four seed lines (16 teams) not one Big Ten team was listed. Including Wisconsin, who prior to being upset by Northwestern was a consensus top 10 team across the polls.

"Good luck figuring out our league... with the games I got to see yesterday, I just gave up on worrying about anyone but us." Izzo said.

Izzo also was asked about accusations that have been looming over the Michigan State athletic department, even though basketball was not explicitly mentioned he gave a response backing the people in charge saying "I believe in the people we have".

Michigan State basketball continues their trek towards the postseason with a home game against Ohio State looking to get revenge for a loss in Columbus back in January. you can catch all the action on your home for Spartan Basketball, Calssic Rock 94.9 WMMQ and Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
