Iconic Lake Nepessing House Gets New Owners and Goes Purple
Many people know of Lake Nepessing in Lapeer due to some iconic businesses that are close to its shores.
From those who used to frequent Castaways Restaurant in years past, to those who still frequent the Lake Inn. Or the countless golfers who frequent the Lapeer Country Club, and even Lake Nepessing Golfland respectively, the beauty of Lake Nepessing's shores are no secret to many.
Have You Seen Lake Nepessing's Ever Changing Shorelines
Although you can see quite a bit of the lake's shorelines from Hunt Rd, as well as from South Shore Drive directly across the lake from the Boat Launch, it's just not the same as what you see when you are literally on the water.
Over the last 50+ years there have been some unbelievably beautiful homes built on Lake Nepessing. And, as the times change, so do the home designs and overall looks.
Some Homes Just Stand Out as Memorable
If you have ever been lucky enough to take a nice leisurely cruise around Lake Nepessing, there are undoubtedly a few homes that stand out and catch the eyes of passersby.
For instance, there is the beautiful home on the hill just past the old Castaways location with its winding drive leading down to the lake that is always a topic of conversation. There is also the newer three-story brick (dare I say Mansion) home on the South Shore side that starts a lot of conversations as well.
Iconic Lake Nepessing Home Get Surprising Make Over and New Paint
But, maybe one of the most talked about homes since its construction is the huge A-Frame home sitting high up on the bank with the three (yes three) giant decks leading down to the lake.
Most folks can only see this home from the lake as it sits on a private road.
Since its construction in 1987 by a very successful local businessman, it never lost its lake appeal for those who passed by on the water over the years. It just had one of those looks that was eye catching.
Well ... it was recently purchased and has its first new owners since its original owners who built it. And the new owners were not afraid to change the look a bit.

What The Home Looks Like Today
So ... What do you think?
It doesn't matter. Because, whether you like it or not makes no difference. The new owners obviously have a vision that they are bringing to life.
Updates to come should anything new, worth seeing, be done to the home.
