Taste Of India Restaurant Opening In Grand Blanc

Word on social media is that a new Indian restaurant is opening in Genesee County.

From what I understand, the new spot, Taste of India, will be at 2383 Hill Road in Grand Blanc, in the same plaza as Tropical Smoothie and Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse & Bistro.

You may know the storefront as a former Tropi-Tan location.

I first saw a post about the new spot on the Grand Blanc Uncensored Facebook page roughly a month ago. Someone recently asked about the restaurant again, but unfortunately, there is still not much information available.

This spot should not be confused with Grill of India, located at 2105 South Linden Road in Flint.

I'm planning to stop by the new Taste of India on Hill Road this week to see if anyone is available to discuss a potential opening date. From all accounts, construction began in March.

I'm no contractor, but I imagine it takes quite a bit of work to transform a former tanning salon into a restaurant. Am I right?

All kidding aside, I am excited to have another food option in Genesee County. Most recently, The One Eleven opened today, April 22nd, 2025, in Fenton, and Social House will be opening in Flint on April 30th, 2025.

I will keep you posted on the opening date for Taste of India in Grand Blanc.
