Michigan’s Most Popular Halloween Candy May Surprise You

Although Halloween is still more than a month away, stores have already begun stocking their shelves with Halloween candy.

I know myself well enough to admit that I absolutely cannot be trusted to buy Halloween candy this far in advance; there is no chance it would last until October 31st. That said, when I eventually do give in and make a purchase, I can promise one thing: I will not be picking up Michigan’s so-called favorite Halloween treat.

This can't be right. According to Reader's Digest, the most popular Halloween candy in the Great Lakes State is Starburst.

Isn't chocolate king when it comes to Halloween? Apparently not in Michigan.

Am I the only one surprised that Snickers is not on this list? Maybe due to peanut allergies.

Also, who gives out Hershey Kisses at Halloween? Is there a Halloween Hershey Kiss that I am not aware of?

You know how exciting it was to get a full-size candy bar as a kid when you were out trick or treating? Michiganders may want to consider giving out full packs of Starburst candy this year.

Just kidding, I will be sticking to mini bags of M&M's. If you are looking for Starburst, you have come to the wrong place.
