Take a Look at the Newest Food Truck in Lansing

Lansing has a few food trucks that call the city home. And while this one is the newest, it's been open for a little while now.

I love that the Lansing area seems to be getting an influx of restaurants opening instead of closing. Recently, we've seen Big Moe's Kitchen open its doors, along with Middle Eats, Jersey Mike's and more. Plus, we've got some delicious places on the horizon, like Pizzawala and IPot.

Semi new to the Lansing foodie scene is this red taco truck off of Oakland.

If you've driven westward along Oakland just past Pennsylvania, then you've probably seen the feather flags proclaiming "tacos" and the little red food truck next to it. That, is Tacos Riviera Maya.

Tacos Riviera Maya serves up a good menu of delectable Mexican eats, from tacos and burritos with your choice of meat, nachos, and more.

I've driven by this place a few times, and each time I told myself I needed to remember to stop there. Well, I finally did, and let me tell ya... I wish I would have remember sooner.

I got the tacos al pastor, and they were absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the portion was large, and the food was piping hot.

I don't claim to be a food critic of any sort, but I will say those were some of the best tacos I've had in the area, and I cannot wait to go back. I really want to try the carnitas, which is what I originally wanted, but they were all sold out. Which to me, means they make it fresh, because making carnitas is a process that takes a while.

A few things to note if you want to give it a try;

• This is a food truck, so the seating is outside. Keep that in mind as we move into the winter months
• The parking is a bit odd. I wasn't sure where to park, it seemed like the gravel lot I parked in also serviced the Crown Boxing Club
