Sorry, Lansing! Taco Bell Breakfast Is No Más

If you're craving one of Taco Bell's breakfast quesadillas or maybe one of their bacon crunchwraps, you'll have to satisfy your cravings somewhere other than in Michigan's capital city because Taco Bell breakfast in Lansing is no más.

Taco Bell's one of the closest fast food options to my workplace, and this morning I thought I'd swing in and get something a little different for breakfast.

I tried to order at the kiosk like usual, but didn't see any of their breakfast options on the screen. So I turned around to check out the main menu board. Nada.

"Does this location not serve breakfast anymore?" I asked the worker behind the counter.

"No, we stopped about a week ago," she replied.

I have never felt more betrayed by a restaurant sign in my life.

I shared the sad news with some co-workers upon my return. "There's still the one in Okemos," I was reassured.

But I'd been wounded. I decided to call and ask, just to be sure.

Nope - the Okemos location doesn't serve breakfast anymore either. The one at Frandor told me they quit too, about three weeks ago. The only Taco Bell I could find in the Lansing area that's still serving breakfast right now is the one on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. - and I was told they're going to stop when they run out of supplies.

Why Are Lansing Taco Bell Restaurants Discontinuing Breakfast?

A company representative confirmed to today.com that some Taco Bell franchisees around the nation could choose to opt out of breakfast service this fall so that they could "focus on key drivers of growth".

The rep told Today that only a tiny fraction of the country's Taco Bell operators would be doing discontinuing breakfast - but guess what? Apparently all of the Lansing locations have chosen to take them up on the offer. A search for Taco Bell locations serving breakfast using the store locator on the restaurant's website comes up empty when searching for matches around Lansing, Michigan.

Among Michigan's major cities, Taco Bell's discontinuation of breakfast appears to be isolated to Lansing.

The Taco Bell store locator does still show matches around Detroit, Grand Rapids, Flint, Saginaw, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo when searching for locations serving breakfast in those cities.

Taco Bell doesn't rule out breakfast returning to affected locations at some point down the road.
