Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has a road work project planned for Haslett Road between Hagadorn and Park Lake Roads, but there's been a change.

When Will Haslett Road Close?

Haslett Road between Hagadorn and Park Lake Roads will be completely closed in both directions beginning Tuesday, September 2. This is a week later than originally planned, meaning that the completion of this phase will likely take a week longer.

During this time, the Haslett/Hagadorn intersection will remain open to let traffic through. There are also posted detours along Saginaw, Park Lake, and Burcham.

How Long Will the Project Last?

The first phase of this road work project is expected to wrap up sometime around mid-November, but that will depend on Michigan weather, and we all know how fickle that can be.

Work will pause during winter and resume in the spring. The spring phase of the project will have Haslett Road completely closed in both directions at Saginaw Highway, including the Haslett/Hagadorn intersection. Expect that work to take place between April and May 2026.
