New Veteran-Owned Dessert Shop Just Opened in Lansing

If you have something of a sweet tooth, Lansing has a brand new addition to try out.

Lansing has had a mix of openings and closings lately when it comes to eateries. This dessert joint is another to add to the opening list.

New Dessert Spot Opens in Lansing

The newest place to grab a sweet treat is Capital City Sweets. It's located in Lansing on Michigan Avenue, just east of 127, near Hooked Book Store.

We first heard rumblings of this local, Veteran owned shop coming to town some time ago... Now, the doors are open and they’re serving up sweetness in several delicious ways.

What Does Capital City Sweets Serve?

Capital City Sweets serves ice cream and edible cookie dough, and all of it's made in-house.

You can get a scoop of ice cream, a scoop of cookie dough, a sundae, or a 517 Stack, which is a 1:1 ratio of cookie dough to ice cream. And there are plenty of toppings and sauces to choose from too.

New Eateries in Lansing

Capital City Sweets isn't the only new eatery to have opened its doors in Lansing this year.

The Lansing food scene has been blessed with multiple openings recently. Since the start of the year, we've seen over a dozen new places open. Places like Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Dunk'd, Dave & Buster's, and many more.
