Grand Rapids has said goodbye to Black Rock Bar & Grill.
This Black Rock Bar & Grill was formerly located in Woodland Mall in Kentwood, near Grand Rapids. It officially closed its doors on New Year's Eve.
I know it seems very quick, but it's official. Not only did a spokesperson for the Woodland Mall confirm, but Black Rock has also removed that spot from its list of locations on the website.

The same mall spokesperson, Mary Ann Sabo, says that they "are already in discussion with another restaurant that will be new to the west Michigan market." That's all the info she had for us now... we'll have to wait for "the coming months" before they have more news to share.
At this time, there's also no news on why they closed.
Black Rock Bar & Grill specializes in steak and seafood that gets cooked in front of customers on a scorching 755-degree volcanic rock. If this was one of your favorite places to go, Black Rock is still in Michigan. There are locations in Hartland, Canton, Utica, Ann Arbor, Davison, and Portage.
Michigan Restaurant Closings
Black Rock isn't the only restaurant chain to see a closure in 2024. Michigan also lost multiple Dickey's Barbecue Pit locations, as well as all Buca di Beppo locations.
