Alert: Massive Cracker Recall Hitting Michigan

Shearer's Food, LLC has just issued a recall on over 15,000 cases of their oyster crackers, due to a possible contamination of stainless steal wires.

It should be noted, too, that the affected products have been distributed to many retailers under different names.

The following products were sold at multiple stores, some under different name brands, so you should check them out before consuming any of the crackers.

Target was affected by the recall.

Walmart was also affected by the recall.

  • 9 oz bags sold

  • Sell by date: May 23, 2025

VISTA Soup & Oyster Crackers were also affected.

• VISTA Soup & Oyster Crackers (Bulk distribution)
  • 12 oz bags sold​
  • UPC: 045100008006
  • Sell By Date: May 24, 2025​

There were 24 states in total that were included in this recall, including here in the state of Michigan.

If you have purchased any of the products, you should not consume them and rather throw them out, or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
