
Prehistoric Forest, Irish Hills: How it Looks in the Mid-2020s
There have been many, many articles and posts written about Prehistoric Forest in the Irish Hills. So basically, there is nothing new I can relate to you here regarding the history and eventual closing of that sentimentally favorite entertainment venue.
There have also been many YouTube videos that were taken by trespassers back in the overgrowth that once housed the fake dinosaurs. What I CAN do, however, is show you the most current photos of how it looks. It seems each year it changes more and more...and it somehow STILL enthralls us, no matter how many times we’ve seen photos.
I went there when my parents took me, I went when I took my own son, and even beyond that. I remember sliding down that super-slide that used to be out front – and it wasn’t there that long.

Many years ago, I got special permission to explore the abandoned grounds while the dinos were still standing. Now many have been put in storage while others were left to the vandals and rot during bad weather. The photos below depict the condition of those grounds as recent as the mid-2020s...
