When I was much younger, one of my favorite things to do in winter was to go snow tubing with all of my friends.

We would snow tube all day long and have an absolute blast. When it started to get dark, we would stop snow tubing and then go home and have some hot chocolate.

Have you ever heard of a glowing snow tubing hill? This is where you go snow tubing at night with a colorful twist.at Bowers School Farm in Bloomfield Hills. Everything is lit up at night for all kinds of winter fun.

According to mlive.com:

Located at 1219 East Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills, this full-working farm is owned by Bloomfield Hills Schools and is also home to Bowers Academy High School. It’s a popular place to visit for families year-round, not only to see the animals, but for the farm kitchen, which sells ice cream and other food products.

This is what I call a magical place for people who really want to have fun this winter. Bowers School Farm will open for the season on January 6, 2023.

Great entertainment on Saturdays which include cooking demos, animal interactions, ice sculpting, and lots of great music. And the tubing hill itself is a blast.

From mlive.com:

The 200-foot long tubing hill has four lanes. Each has a carpet, of sorts, underneath it, allowing for people to enjoy tubing whether there’s snow on it or not. Crews spray it down with water and allow it to freeze, creating luge-like tracks.

Winter officially begins on Dec. 21 and Bowers School Farm opens around the first week of January.

Make plans to go there this winter so you and your family can enjoy outdoor ice skating and bonfires. (schoolfarm.org)
