The official tease for its return follows comments from McDonald's USA President Joe Erlinger, who hinted during a December appearance on Good Morning America that a legendary menu item with a "cult following" was making a comeback. Of course, that left a lot of room for speculation for Michigan Mickey D's fans.
McDonald's History of Discontinuing Menu Items
Erlinger's remarks in December left a lot of room for speculation. Should Michigan prepare our tastebuds for a McDLT? What about the Arch Deluxe or the Big N Tasty? Buttermilk Crispy Tenders?
Szechuan Sauce never really gained enough of a foothold to establish a cult following, but there is one item that has been overlooked due to both dining and financial reasons.
Michigan Rejoice: The Snack Wrap Returns in 2025
Initially introduced in 2006, according to The Daily Mail, the McDonald's Snack Wrap was easy on the stomach and the pocketbook. Originally priced at $1.29, the price climbed to $2.99 before being pulled from menus in 2016. McDonald's teased the comeback, dropping the following on X on April 15, 2025:
snack wraps 0x.14.2025
Seeing as though it was posted after April 14, and I have yet to see or enjoy a delicious snack wrap, my fingers are crossed that it will return on May 14...but with the "0x" there instead of a 5, the return date is still up in the air, but at least we know it's coming back to our menu in Michigan.
