Michigan is the First State to Have an Exact Replica of the Oval Office
Ever been in the White House’s Oval Office? Chances are, NO. But you can get a feel for it at the Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids.
Inside is an exact replica of the Oval Office, with measurements of 29 by 35 feet, and a ceiling height of 18.5 feet. Also featured is a six-minute video of a typical day in the life of President Ford.
It is the United States' first exact replica of the Oval Office...and it's here in Michigan. As impressive as this is, there are some things on exhibit in the museum that seem odd, but strangely interesting.

For example, there is an entire gallery of Watergate that features a display of the actual burglary tools used by the guilty ones responsible for that 1972 break-in.
The museum also has a section of the Berlin Wall in the lobby, which was dedicated by Ford on September 6, 1991.
Possibly the most disturbing is the actual gun that Manson family member Squeaky Fromme used in her assassination attempt on Ford.
The museum is located at 303 Pearl Street NW Grand Rapids.....it's worth the trip...
