It should come as no surprise that Michigan's most crime-heavy city is Detroit. With the largest population of any metro in the state (663,502), Motown had 13,040 violent crimes reported in a year, with 275 murders/manslaughters and an alarming 952 rapes.

While curiosity may lead to crime, what's interesting is that out of the 424 cities and townships included in the FBIs annual report, there were 53 cities in Michigan with zero murders, zero rapes, and zero violent crime.
