A Floating Christmas Tree on Michigan’s Big Glen Lake?
First of all, we all know that Christmas trees will not float in any kind of water, but what about a floating Christmas tree attached to the inside of a Michigander's boat?
We are talking about a floating Christmas tree in northern Michigan on Big Glen Lake. Can you picture a well decorated floating Christmas tree set up inside someone's boat?

Marking another year of cheer, Frank and Tracy Siepker and their children have launched their Christmas tree boat on Big Glen Lake. The decorated, brightly-lit tree positioned upright in a little boat can be easily seen from the M-22 causeway that separates Big and Little Glen lakes. It’s something locals look forward to each year to kick off the holiday season - and it’s a reason some visitors drive a little bit out of their way, just for a glimpse of those pretty lights bobbing on the water.
What a great idea and congratulations to the Stepker family for not only making this a family tradition, but for taking the time to decorate this floating Christmas tree for all to see in northern Michigan.

This year, Frank Siepker Jr. says his family has upped the ante with 2,000 LED lights. Their children, Ashley, 10, and Frank, 8, are old enough to offer a lot of help on what’s become an annual post-Thanksgiving launch window.
This would definitely be worth the drive to Big Glen Lake just to see how lit up this floating Christmas tree gets once the sun goes down.
Even though I decorated my house with lots of Christmas lights over the holiday weekend, nothing can compare to a Floating Christmas Tree. How does anyone top that?
