Michigan Shaped Landscapes Spotted In Michigan From Google Earth
Michigan is viewed by many to be the best-shaped state in the entire country, and even people who aren’t from Michigan have agreed on this. There are a lot of uniquely shaped states, but Michigan is being considered. America’s high-five is a pretty distinct claim.
Michigan knows we have the best-shaped state which may be why they pay so much damage to it on their land. If you use Google Earth and search a handful of places, you’ll see that people have either carved out the landscape or created monuments on the ground that are in the shape of Michigan and the Great Lakes and these sites can be found all over the lower peninsula.
There are multiple locations with one of them even being located in Ontario Canada. Little Michigan in Ontario is on the Port Lands peninsula. But there are other examples of this like the children’s garden area at Frederick Meyer Gardens in Grand Rapids. They have a little pond in the shape of the Great Lakes in Michigan as well as Lewiston, Michigan.
Near the old entrance of Camp Lunden there is another Michigan sculpture, built into the land. Finally, there is another one in Hager Park in Jenison, but this one is of the entire United States. Below, you can check some of these out and let us know if there are any that we have missed so we can add them to the list. We know there are plenty left we haven't found yet.
