Having a pet is somewhat of a part-time job on a full-time scale, and many consider it to be just as busy as having an actual kid. For many of us who will never have children, pets are our next best option and we put everything we can into caring for them and giving them a good life.
Before owning a dog, I thought having a cat was a major responsibility. But you quickly understand that dogs need a lot more attention and consistency if you want to give them the best life.

I know the constant potty breaks outside can be a hassle, especially when they’re asking multiple times a day. But as one person pointed out on Facebook, it’s important that especially in the winter season, you always monitor your surroundings outside when it comes to letting your dog out to go to the bathroom.
The main reason behind this is that coyotes are known to pray on smaller dogs during the winter season in Michigan, as they pointed out:
A coyote can literally wait in the shadows for you to take your little dog out for potty break and turn your head and that is how long it can take for you to lose your precious fur baby. They have adapted to being the best-skilled hunters and they go into people‘s backyards all the time and on front porches.
As they pointed out, they live in a very rural part of Michigan where the coyotes don’t have a natural enemy, so it’s easier for them to get away with this. Always monitor the potty breaks and make sure the coast is clear, especially after the sun goes down.
