Northern Michigan Favorite Vacation Destination Considered the Most Romantic in The State

I'd like to think I'm a romantic guy, but if you ask my wife Lindsey I'm not sure she would agree with that statement.

While I'm not Mr. Romantic, I can think of a few places in Michigan we've been that were somewhat romantic.

One of those romantic places was the Tunnel of Trees.

We went there in the fall when the leaves were starting to change colors and it was breathtaking.

The other romantic place was watching the sunset at Holland State Park or The Grand Haven South Pier

Neither of those places were picked as the most romantic place in Michigan.

Michigan's Most Romantic Place

The popular website Travel and Leisure recently came out with a list of the most romantic places across America.

For Michigan they selected Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore which I was not expecting.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sleeping Bear Dunes and think it could be a romantic spot but If I was making the decision I would have went with Mackinac Island.

I've been there several times with my wife and family and it was so beautiful, minus all the horse poop you need to watch out for.

I never stayed at the Grand Hotel but seeing it in person and some of the amazing views it offers it definitely has to be at the top of the list if not number one.
