I don't play the Michigan Lottery that often, only when the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot get up to a billion dollars or so.
A Michigan woman who played the lottery won big but didn't realize it because an email telling her the good news went to her spam folder instead of her inbox.
Michigan Woman Wins $207,000 After Checking Her Spam Folder
A Macomb County woman recently experienced the surprise of a lifetime when she discovered an email in her spam folder informing her she had won $207,199 in the Michigan Lottery's Second Chance drawing.
The 54-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, had unknowingly earned entries into the July 9 drawing by playing BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games online.
"I didn’t know that by playing certain games online I was earning entries into a second chance drawing, so I was confused when I came across an email from the Michigan Lottery in my spam folder saying I’d won a $207,199 prize."
After finding the email, she verified its authenticity by checking multiple times.
Upon confirming her win, she visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize.
She plans to use the money to pay bills and invest.
What a lucky lady, I check my spam folder from time to time but all I find in there is emails about regrowing my hair and Viagra.
