Michigan Is Home To The National Asparagus Festival

If you weren't aware, like me, The National Asparagus Festival has been taking place in Oceana County for the past 52 years.

It's held on the second week of June each year.

the goal of the festival is to celebrate Oceana County being one of the largest producers of asparagus in the entire country.

This year it will take place on Friday, June 13th - Sunday, June 15th.

During those three days a lot happens, some of the fun events and things you can check out include:

  • A Parade
  • Quilt Show
  • Car Show
  • Arts & Crafts Show
  • Spear-It 5k Run
  • Live Music
  • Taste of Asparagus competition
