Michigan Boy Ends Up Drunk After Restaurant Mix Up
I remember thinking it was so cool that while the adults were drinking their frozen cocktails I could do the same thing with a "virgin" version.
During the summer at my dad's friend's house, they would always bust out the blender and let the kids have "virgin" versions of Pina Colada, Margaritas, and my favorite Strawberry Daiquiri.
I always wondered what the adult drinks tasted like.
Michigan Boy Ends Up Drunk After Restaurant Mix-Up
Recently at an Outback Steakhouse in Livonia, a 12-year-old boy named Mekyle Cureton was mistakenly served an alcoholic daiquiri instead of the non-alcoholic "virgin" version he ordered.
Mekyle, who always loved to order the virgin strawberry daiquiri during his visits, immediately noticed something was different with his drink due to its unusual taste.
He quickly felt the effects of alcohol, including a headache and a racing heart, prompting his family to react and ask the server about the drink.
Upon realizing what had happened, the restaurant staff confirmed the mistake and offered an apology, along with waiving the bill as a gesture of goodwill.
