Detroit Lions Fans Are Paying the Highest Prices in the NFL—Again
So here we are. The 2025 NFL season is finally here, and like most Lions fans, I’ve been counting down the days.
But before I even think about buying a ticket to Ford Field, I’ve got to brace myself because for the second year in a row we’re staring at the highest ticket prices in the entire league.
According to a new study by Bookies.com, the reigning NFC North champs have translated all that on-field success into premium pricing in the stands.
Want to bring the family to a game? A family of four will spend just over $1,770 for the cheapest Lions tickets on the secondary market. That’s more than $300 higher than the next team on the list, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now, sure, there are a few cheaper options if you hunt hard enough. For example, you can grab four tickets to see the Lions take on the Browns for about $1,320 on SeatGeek. But that still feels like a gut punch when you look around the league.
Four tickets to watch the Minnesota Vikings host the Ravens? Just $620 for the cheapest seats. That’s less than half of what it costs to see our guys at Ford Field.
And here’s the thing, I get it. This team is stacked, expectations are sky-high, and we’re not the “same old Lions” anymore.
But man, it’s tough when your love for the game keeps colliding with your bank account. All I want is to sit in the stands, scream myself hoarse, and watch Jared Goff, Amon-Ra, and Hutch put on a show.
Instead, I’m stuck refreshing resale sites, hoping for a miracle price drop.
The Lions kick off their season this Sunday against the Packers in Green Bay, and I’ll be watching from my couch. Like so many other fans, I’ll keep holding out hope for a Super Bowl run, sure, but also for the day it doesn't cost a small fortune to cheer on the Honolulu Blue in person.
