Shaq’s Recent Visit To Michigan Ended In A Police Brawl
When you're a fan of an athlete or celebrity, people can get pretty excited at the prospect of meeting them. These celebrities can't go anywhere without being stopped by fans for selfies or people just trying to get a glimpse of them. For this reason, celebrities usually try to keep a low profile.
That's what Shaquille O'Neal, the 7'1 former basketball star and pop culture icon tried doing during his recent visit to a small town here in Michigan. Sadly, word got, a large crowd formed outside his location, and a brawl took place between police and fans.

Shaq's Visit to Big Chicken
On September 27th, word spread that Shaq was visiting his new Big Chicken location in Hartland. Having such a big name visiting in Hartland of all places is a big deal, however, the problem is that people weren't supposed to know he was visiting.
His PR team alerted local law enforcement of the crowd growing outside the location. As more people showed up, deputies were quickly outnumbered and did their best to maintain control of the crowd until one member started becoming unruly. After multiple warnings from deputies, the crowd member confronted the deputy.
Two women joined the man as deputies pinned and arrested all three people. The women, Holly Renee Strong and Abagail Selah Hope Strong were arrested with William Jaymani Dmichael Prieto. The Strongs posted $250 bonds, while Prieto remains in prison with a $50,000 bond. In basketball terms, the three of them definitely fouled out.

All poor Shaq wanted to do was visit his new location, and instead, the entire thing turned into a media circus. Ironically, most of the people part of this debacle probably haven't even seen Shaq play basketball. But the saddest part of all, I doubt any chicken was truly appreciated on this day.
