Michigan Basketball Set to Finish Polar Opposite of Football
Wolverine fans have been riding high after the Michigan football team won the national championship, but that is not the case for the basketball team and it may get worse.
2023/2024 Season for the University of Michigan Basketball
Have you ever wondered if that slap from Michigan head coach Juwan Howard two seasons ago against Wisconsin Badgers assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft has led to some really bad karma for the Wolverines basketball team? The team has not been the same ever since.

Former Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard celebrating a Michigan victory over Ohio State. A glorious moment but the two have had polar opposite seasons.
U of M basketball did beat Ohio State which was one of the only things the team had in common with Michigan's football team.
The Wolverine's loss against Long Beach State early in the season was very telling of what was to come later in the season. Michigan currently has a record of 8-22 for the season and only 3-16 in their conference is good and they are about to have their biggest losing season to date if they lose one more game.
If losing to McNeese which was part of a seven-game losing streak wasn't bad enough, the Wolverines lost Big 10 games against Minnesota, Penn State, Maryland, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, and Rutgers, and took a beating from Michigan State. The season looks hopeless or is it?
Will the Michigan Wolverines Men Basketball Team Have its Worst Season Ever?
To be honest, it looks like this will go down in history as the Michigan Wolverine's worst season but there is a tiny window of hope and a series of miracles needed.
The first thing the Wolverines need to do is beat the 21-9 Nebraska Cornhuskers coming on Sunday who already beat Michigan once this year 79-59.
If Michigan gets a win over Nebraska the Wolverines would then need to win every game they play in the Big Ten Tournament to be a part of March Madness.
If Michigan somehow has the basketball gods looking down on them and they win the Big 10 Tournament, the next mountain to climb would be to win the National Championship during the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament also known as March Madness. It is not impossible but it would be the greatest season comeback of all time for a Big 10 team.
