Michigan Woman Held Hostage – Used Gaming Console To Call for Help
A woman was being held hostage in Greenville, Michigan, and managed to use a gaming console to alert her family and friends to send law enforcement to rescue her.

Xbox and Playstation gaming consoles are pretty much the standard for gamers in most homes. Most games are now played online with consoles that allow gamers to talk to one another if they like.
One thing I like about the consoles being online is my son lives outside of the area where he goes to school and this allows him to hang out with his friends and play games with his best buddies.

I never thought someone would have to use a gaming system to call for help while being held against their will but it was a clever idea and it worked.
Women Held Hostage in Montcalm County Uses Gaming System to Call for Help
Friends and family began getting messages on Monday through a gaming console from a 20-year-old woman that he boyfriend would allow her to leave. The boyfriend allegedly damaged her phone and made it inoperable so she was able to phone anyone for help.
According to 9 and 10 News, the boyfriend is 22-year-old Christian P. Clevenger who is from Greenville.
Sheriff deputies arrived at Clevenger's home to do a wellness check on the young woman and when no one answered the door they busted in and found the two inside. The woman said her boyfriend wouldn't allow her to leave after asking him time and time again for a week and he would not comply.
Clevenger was arrested and has been charged with unlawful imprisonment.
