Michigan’s Best Halloween Pop-Up Bars to Visit This Fall
If you're an adult who loves Halloween, consider making a road trip to these pop-up bars.
Pop-up stores for major bands during big tours are common, but a Halloween-themed pop-up bar is a first for me. If you would like to go on a spooky Halloween pub crawl, then these pop-up bars may be just the thing you are looking for.
Pop-Up Events
Several rock bands have set up pop-up stores for some of their larger-than-life events. When Kiss did their final farewell tour, they hosted pop-up store events. Other major artists like The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Guns 'N Roses, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, and more.
These types of pop-up events offer exclusive merchandise, tour props, photo opportunities, and limited-edition vinyl for fans to celebrate the band's tours.
Fruit and fireworks stands are some of the earliest recurring pop-up shops, appearing in neighborhoods year after year. Halloween and Christmas holidays often come with pop-up stores that are open for a limited time.

Pop Into These Halloween Bars Popping Up In Michigan
Halloween originated as a holiday for children and has since grown significantly over the years. Most people used to make their own costumes, and now you have specialty pop-up Halloween stores that return year after year. People decorate their homes for Halloween in larger numbers than ever before, while the haunted decorations keep getting bigger and better.
If you enjoy dressing up for Halloween and having a drink or two, you'll love the pop-up bars appearing around metro Detroit.

According to WXYZ TV, several bars are changing their menu and theme for Halloween fans in the Detroit area. Below is a list of locations you can visit:
- Black Lagoon returns to The Skip in the Belt alley in Downtown Detroit, Oct 1-Nov 2.
- Detroit City Distillery will feature a blend-your-own bourbon experience on Halloween.
- Iron Gate, located in Wyandotte, is for Harry Potter fans and features The Wizard pop-up at Iron Gate, featuring drinks from Harry Potter.
- Nightmare on Bagley, is Southwest Detroit, will feature a Halloween-themed bar with seasonally-inspired drinks, which opens at 5 p.m., seven days a week.
- Spookeasy Pop-Up Bar inside the Royal Park Hotel.
- Weiss Distilling Co. in Clawson is open Tuesday through Saturday and features drinks like Interview with a Vampire, Pumpkin King, the Scream Saver, Witch of Delray, and more.
This could be one heck of a pub crawl, but I would suggest getting a designated driver or an Uber so you can really enjoy each location.
