Jared Goff Hits New Chapter With Lions on Sunday

Jared Goff Sets New Mark With Lions on Sunday

It only took three seasons with the Lions to get them to the playoffs, beating his former team, which featured former Lions QB Matthew Stafford, in a Wild Card game 24-23. The Lions went on to win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make it to the NFC Championship Game.The Lions led the San Francisco 49ers 24-7 at halftime. Then the 49ers scored 27 straight points, beating the Lions 34-31.

The Lions had their best season ever in 2024 with a record of 15-2 and earned home-field advantage for the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Lions lost to the Washington Commanders 45-31.

As a Detroit Lion, Goff has 42 wins, 26 losses, and 1 tie. He has thrown for 16,885 yards, 106 touchdowns, and 38 interceptions. He also has a 113.0 passer rating, which is the highest of his 10-year NFL career.

The Lions are currently 3-1 for the 2025 season. In this Sunday’s game, they face the Cincinnati Bengals, and Goff will have finally played more games as a Lion than a Ram. Hopefully, this is the year the Lions make it to the Super Bowl so Goff and the team can finally get the ultimate win.
