Not going to lie, escaping to a private island sounds pretty great right about now... and this one for sale Up North looks like an incredible gem!

The private island is nestled in the heart of Northern Michigan, just east of Gaylord on Big Lake. The all-sports lake is described as deep, clean, and spring-fed.

The island itself is more than four acres, and a shining example of Michigan's natural beauty, with lush woods and walking trails.

The dock is one of my favorite outdoor features!

I'm equally impressed by the residence though. The four-bedroom, one-bathroom main cabin boasts Onaway stone construction, large vaulted ceilings, and incredible woodwork.

The special touches feel like you've brought the outside in. For example, check out the cupboards in the custom kitchen - I've never seen any like this before! And check out that stonework!

There's more in the bathroom too that's blowing my mind.

Got guests? No problem, the property also includes another large cabin with a full bath.

Back to the outside, the patio looks like an amazing spot to take in those gorgeous lake views. Plus, there's a spacious backyard and a walking path around the perimeter of the island features 1,839 feet of lake frontage.

Take a tour and see how much the island is going for in the gallery below!
