A Shameless Rant About The Most Annoying Parts Of Illinois
Illinois has multiple things that we should be proud of. Delicious food, fun activities, kind people and much more.
However, maybe I've just been moody lately, but there are some things that are really getting on my nerves here. And when I'm a little cranky, I need to vent.
Please take this lightheartedly, because it's all a joke and in good fun. Yes, these things are frustrating, but not to the point of being negative!
The Most Annoying Parts About Living in Illinois
I'll start with one I have personal beef with, because I received a bill in the mail yesterday.
The Tollways
Here's why it makes me mad... we are quite literally charged for a congested, frustrating experience filled with people who don't know how to drive right. So I'm basically paying for a panic attack!
I will drive an extra 40 minutes just to avoid tollways because that's just how much I despise them. Don't worry, I'm a good civilian and will still pay my $30 tollway fee. But I won't be happy about it.

Crazy + Drastic Weather
All I know is oppressive humidity and bitter cold.
I love that we get to experience all four seasons, but I'll take those few blissful days when we get comfortable weather. Not humid to where my skin is sticky, and not bitter cold to the point of my legs going numb.
Overwhelming Amounts of Food Options
I cannot be the only one who gets bugged by the good old, "Where do you want to eat?" fight, right?
Illinois knows what's up when it comes to good food, so this is a good problem to have! Just not for people like me who cannot make a decision to save my life. I can never make a choice when it comes to where I want to eat because we truly have SO many options.
