Career Connect Center Opens in Kalamazoo To Expand Opportunities
One of the most important things that children learn from a young age is that they can do just about anything they set their mind to because its determination that's the real driving force in life. Sometimes there are some other barriers that come along the way, but we also learn that there are tons of resources surrounding us to make those challenges easier to navigate.

One of those resources is the Kalamazoo Promise, this is something that has helped many families in Southwest Michigan. The Kalamazoo Promise made it easier and more affordable for many underprivileged and unfortunate individuals to attend college and look to better their lives. For many people this was the biggest blessing but for others, it was just another challenge.
Something I have come to learn is that school isn't for everyone and there are many different ways to be successful and several of those ways don't require a college degree of any kind. I also learned that there are trade skills that can create a very sustainable life for those who choose to master those skills, and the Kalamazoo Promise began to fund these programs as well.
