Indiana University has fired head men's basketball coach Archie Miller (pictured) after four seasons at the helm in Bloomington.

The Hoosiers were 12-15 on the 2020-21 season and did not qualify for either the NIT or NCAA Tournaments.

Miller came to Indiana after a successful run at Dayton University where he led the Flyers to an Elite Eight appearance in 2014.  And a second-round appearance in 2015.

The Hoosiers have not made the Final Four since 2002, where they lost to Maryland in the National title game.  They have not won the National Championship since 1987 when Bobby Knight and Steve Alford led the Hoosiers over Syracuse in the title game at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens and Alabama head coach Nate Oats are two possible names to take over in Bloomington.

In one way or another, these players have had a special impact on me because of the way they played the great game of baseball.
