It’s Official: Lansing Lugnuts An A’s Affiliate

Several months after they were offered to be a minor league affiliate for the Oakland Athletics, the Lansing Lugnuts signed an agreement on Friday morning to make that offer official.

The Lugnuts will now officially be the High-A affiliate of the A's in the Central League (formerly the Midwest League).  The Luggies have had previous Major League affiliations with the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Now that the agreement is official, the 2021 schedule for the Lugnuts should be made public soon.  The 25th season (which was supposed to be in 2020) of the Lansing Lugnuts was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
