I feel like "The boy who cried wolf" asking once again, Is the New England Patriots Dynasty FINALLY over? Look the short answer is the Patriots are still a top team in the NFL so no it's not truly over yet but are they still a lock to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl? I mean let's be honest that's the standard they've set. I've been blessed enough to cove the last five Super Bowls and the Patriots won three and were at four of those. Saying all of that, this year feels different from the years where I hoped it was over.

I know some of you will read this headline and not the rest of what I'm saying so I look forward to all the hate from Pats' fans. I have to admit that this is the greatest sports dynasty of my life and I doubt we'll ever see this in the NFL again. The Patriots have only lost two games so far this season but those two losses one to the Texans and one to the Ravens almost felt like a passing of the torch from the old guard to the new.

The key factor in why this feels different this year for me is Tom Brady. He has to get old at some point, right? It's funny because the start of the dynasty when the Pats beat the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI Brady was more of a game manager, then he became the G.O.A.T. that didn't even need NFL caliber receivers to win. Now he seems to be regressing(FINALLY at 42)the Pats has tried to get him an elite level receiver multiple times this season with N'keal Harry, Josh Gordon, Antonio Brown and Mohammed Sanu not filling the role for various reasons. The Patriots defense and special teams will need to pick up the slack. Which they've done against lesser opponents but not the top teams of the AFC. So maybe just maybe the Pats dynasty is finally over.
