The Cleveland Indians defeated the Detroit Tigers 6-2 at Progressive Field Tuesday night. Cleveland (21-25) used a 12 hit attack to game two of the series with Detroit. The Tigers (27-14) have dropped two straight after an 11 game win streak. Michael Bourn, Asdrubal Cabrera and Nick Swisher paced the Cleveland with two hits each and Mike Aviles added a 2 run double in the 4th inning. David Murphy completed the scoring for the Tribe with a 7th inning solo home run and Trevor Bauer (1-1) pitched six innings for the win. Alex Avila and Torii Hunter each hit solo home runs to account for the Tigers' scoring. Justin Verlander (5-3) took the loss. The two teams compete their three game series Wednesday afternoon. Max Scherzer (6-1) toes the rubber for Detroit while Zach McAllister (3-4) takes the mound for Cleveland. Pregame coverage begins at 11:40am on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
