Steve Ballmer is now the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers after the sale of the NBA team officially closed a couple of weeks ago. The league's board of governors had already approved the $2 billion deal for Ballmer, the former Microsoft chief executive, to replace Donald Sterling as the Clippers' owner.

This has been just a twilight zone situation. NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned Donald Sterling for life from the league and fined him $2.5 million after audio recordings of Sterling's racist comments were made public in April. Again, this was a very a bizarre circumstance. Sterling's wife went forward with the sale after he said he would sell the team.

The court's verdict was announced on July 28, the NBA wanted this done very soon. Steve Ballmer paid the second highest amount ever in the history of pro sports. The first goes to "Magic Johnson's Group who bought the L.A. Dodgers for $2.1 billion. The L.A. Clippers are now owned by Detroit Country Day grad Steve Ballmer.

See, if you are an individual who is in the public eye make sure there are no open microphones or conversation's taped. Even if you are a blatant racist as Donald Sterling is. Ballmer will be a great team owner. He will be hands on with fun.
