Almost three years ago, my family and I traveled to New Orleans for Christmas. I had never been there in my lifetime, but I really always wanted to get there. It was Christmas time and the city was lit up. My family had some plans about where to go. One was the World War Two Museum which is located in New Orleans.

This place was absolutely unbelievable. My stepdaughter Mara pulled off one of the slickest tricks ever. There were 100s of people there from all walks of life. Even actor Mark Ruffalo was there with his family. So, the line for tickets to enter was ridiculous with so many people. There were lines of people wrapped around more lines of people. So Mara got out of line with us and ordered tickets for us to enter online with her phone. It was a great move.

It was perfect because even with all those people, we only waited in line for about 20 minutes and she had our tickets. The World War Two Museum is an extension of the Smithsonian Institution located in Washington D.C. We were there six hours and could have even stayed longer.

If you’re a history fanatic like I am, you will be like a kid in a candy store. There is something for all ages. It stirs up your memory of all those history classes you had. Like I said, you need to take your family there for a great excursion. New Orleans is a fascinating city very rich in history and sports too. Please do yourself a favor and check it out.
