To the surprise of many, All-Start point guard Russell Westbrook has agreed to a new three-year deal to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to media reports.

The deal is reportedly for $85.7 million, with the third year being an player option.  It had been rumored that the Thunder would trade Westbrook in light of Kevin Durant's departure to Golden State and undergo a full rebuild.
